Fur-bearing animals in Canada are compelled to live out their entire lives imprisoned in small cages made of wire. Digging, fleeing, hunting, or hiding are among the natural behaviors that are prohibited by the severe confinement of these cages. Fur farm animals consequently frequently experience serious physical and mental health issues. When the animals that make it through their captivity are pelted, meaning they are murdered and skinned for their fur, they will go through unimaginable misery. It is routine procedure in the industry to electrocute foxes anally and to murder mink in gas chambers.
